While the world is trying to remain resilient through these tough economic times, it is exciting to see how Instagram is rapidly developing new features and functionalities to tackle main business issues and help users support their favorite brands.

Furthermore, keeping up with what is happening on Instagram can be quite a challenge. Instagram is consistently adding and removing features (now faster than ever).

To stay up to date with the latest Instagram updates and features for your business, let’s dig into the upcoming trends you may not know about and how to use them for marketing success!

  • Instagram adds Professional Dashboard for Businesses and Creators

Businesses and creators on Instagram now have access to a Professional Dashboard. Whereas many of its features and resources already exist elsewhere, the dashboard makes them accessible from one central hub.

The dashboard can be accessed from the top of the account profile pages. Sections include Track Your Performance, Grow Your Business, and Stay Informed, providing a mix of analytics, tools, and insights.

  • Instagram adds Recently Deleted feature to restore your deleted content

Those who wish to reconsider their deleted posts, or have had their content removed by hackers, now have the option to restore photos, videos, reels, IGTV videos, and stories within 30 days.

To delete or restore content from Recently Deleted permanently, Instagram will ask you to verify that you are the right account holder before proceeding. The folder can be accessed through the path: Settings > Account > Recently Deleted.

  • Product and branded content tags now available for Reels

Using Instagram for business, marketers, and creators can add product tags to their Reels, permitting users to shop directly from their content.

Users simply must tap the View Products button on your Reels.

And they will be given the option to view the product in more detail right there within the app, with a link to direct them to your site.

Prior to this update, shopping was made available across the board on all posts, IGTVs, Lives, and Stories too. It just proves that videos are the dominant media type in today’s digital landscape.

That is why this is a powerful opportunity for business owners to connect with followers and convert them into customers.

  • Go LIVE with Instagram LIVE

Instagram LIVE lets users stream live videos to followers through their Instagram Stories. It is great for building engagement, connecting directly with your users, sharing news, and establishing your brand. Consider things like demonstrations, hold a Q&A session, give a behind-the-scenes look, and more.

These Instagram trends are only a small glimpse into everything that Instagram offers.
